In 1994, Eugene Gradova finished work on the painting Fisherman's Village. This artwork is done with oil paints on a canvas 45x62 cm. The plot of this picture describes life in the Russian village of fishermen. At first glance a very nice place with beautiful nature and a convenient location of residential fishermen’s houses right on the riverside. But of course the most important accent in the painting is the river on the main plan and the fishing nets drying on wooden poles. The river is the main means for existence in these places, it feeds the fishing families. And this is not an easy labor of a man who opposes the powerful elements of nature and at first glance is not noticeable, so vividly reads in the author's composition find. This is a confrontation between the lines of movement of the river and the lines of wooden poles crossing them, on which fishing tackles are dried. The conflict is also supported by the color contrast of the warm yellowish shade of the fishing ground in the background and the chilling flow of the blue river. The original painting has no copies and is stored in the author's collection. Sales history of painting is missing. Sale of reproductive photographic copies of the painting is possible only in a limited edition and with the artist's signature
