In 2005, the artist's collection by Eugenia Gradova was supplemented by a remarkable painting - Oil painting, canvas, 40x50cm., written in a picturesque, academic style. The painting is written in a non-authoritative, in a fantasy manner. This plot of the painting reflects the artist's deep impressions of reading the poem - Cliff, the outstanding Russian poet M.Yu. Lermontov. For the first time this poem was published in 1843 in the journal Otechestvennye zapiski.
The Cliff.
The golden cloud has spended night
On the chest of the giant cliff:
In the morning she drove off early in the way,
In azure, playing funnny.
But the wet trace stayed in the wrinkle
Of the old cliff. In lonely
He stands: deep in thought
And he cries in the desert quietly...
The spiritual wounds of the poet embodied in a deeply emotional painting of the artist - the sensitive viewer empathizes for all of this, but then he compares and thinks more about himself ... The original painting is kept in the artist's collection and does not have any copies. Also you can buy reproductions of the picture only in a limited edition and with the author's signature.
